JOB SUMMARY: This role is responsible for benefits verification, obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations to secure payment of client care. Non Exempt, Part-Time .5 FTE, 18.75 hour a week position (not benefit eligible)
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Finance and Business
Primary Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the Commercial Insurance position is to ensure that our patient’s care is covered and VNA receives payment for patient care. This is achieved through accurate and timely execution of:
o Verification of insurance
o Obtaining pre-certification of benefits
o Authorization of benefit payment for provision of care in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Baccalaureate degree or equivalent work experience required in Insurance /medical processing
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrates ability to learn new skills quickly

Homeside Hospice, a nurse owned and operated hospice, is looking for a highly motivated, compassionate and energetic candidate for a Full Time RN, Case Manager for Hudson, Bergen, Morris, Essex and Passaic counties. Must have a current and valid license to practice professional nursing in the state of NJ. Preference of at least two (2) years of work experience as a Hospice nurse. Demonstrates professional competency, ability to assess and respond to the needs of patients and families in varied settings, and good organizational skills. Responsible for the maintenance and restoration of health; prevents infection, accident and injury; performs an initial assessment and identifies problems for each patient upon admission to hospice; reassesses the patient’s nursing care needs on an ongoing, patient-specific basis and provides care which is consistent with the Plan of Care; and monitors the patient’s response to nursing care. Also responsible for teaching, supervising and counseling the patient, family members, and staff regarding nursing care and the patient’s needs, including other related problems of the patient at home. Caring Hospice Services seeks Patient Care Manager responsible for the coordination of all clinical services (Planning, organizing, directing and supervising) provided to the hospice patient. The Patient Care Manager is a member of the interdisciplinary team. This position oversees the day to day clinical operation of hospice in conformance with the organization’s mission, philosophy and goals and ensures that services conform to all applicable laws, rules and regulations.   Reports to: Program Director.  Qualifications: 1.    Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) in which he/she is required to practice. 2.    Education:  A Registered Nurse with a Baccalaureate or higher degree preferred in nursing or other health related field.  And two years clinical experience with the last three (3) years in a home health agency, home care setting or health facility. 3.    Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in a patient care setting, acute care desirable OR two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in a supervisory or administrative position in a hospice organization OR equivalent and demonstrates a strong knowledge of regulations.  Contact wwynn@caringhospice.com
