Hospices have had a bit of a breather compared to some other provider types in terms of current regulatory activity, but this is just the calm before the storm!  There has been some recent activity all hospices should be updated on such as the current status of mandated hospice payment reform and the development of a standardized hospice assessment tool.

We will review these and other regulatory updates as well as bring to the forefront the regulations and conditions of participation that have caused hospices the most consternation recently.  Newer hospice staff and seasoned staff will appreciate this review and discussion of how these impact them on a daily basis.  The top survey deficiencies and how to avoid them will be discussed in detail as well as the top claim denial reasons.

There will be opportunity for case analysis and discussion with others regarding best practices and solutions for some of your biggest challenges.  We will also discuss the FY2020 Hospice Payment Rule, with its proposals to rebase payment rates, modify the content of election statements and incorporating hospice in other care delivery models, such as Medicare Advantage.
